Many of my recent 6x6 inch paintings on canvas sheet are studies for larger works, so imagine these designs realized at 24x24 inches, or even bigger. To me, color is different depending on the scale. Wide or long areas of color interact with the body, not just the eye. Here color also seems to detach from the support and emanate as pure light, transcending the paint. I look forward to executing larger pieces in the next few months.
